Lemon Green Tea Essence soap has very softening and hydrating qualities of Emu oil blended into the antioxidant and astringent properties found in green tea and lemon.

Sources: The lemon tree is believed to be a native of India. It is produced in the Mediterranean, North and South America, and Australia. It is mainly cultivated in California, Florida, and southern Europe. The lemon tree is a relatively small tree growing between 9 to 15 feet tall. Quality essential oil is typically cold pressed using the outer fruit rind.

History: The lemon tree was brought to Europe during the middle ages by the Crusaders. In 1493, Columbus introduced and brought back with him the lemon and orange seeds to the West Indies, and unbeknownst, founded the worlds largest lemon industry.

Therapeutic Properties: Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiscorbotic, antiseptic, astringent, disinfectant, expectorant and sedative. Traditionally used in Europe to fend off major epidemic diseases. Lemon became known as an effective antiscorbotic supplied on English ships to prevent Scurvy in seaman on long voyages.
